Who was Hopewell Hull? We have found no Hull ancestry for him, and we have an exact DNA match from an Adams family that lived on the Eastern Shore of Maryland at the same time. I would love to know if Hopewell was really an Adams, and who his father was.

The Portrait of Thomas Reade Rootes
I have a small copy of a portrait in profile of Thomas Reade Rootes, with a typewritten label reading, "Thomas Reade Rootes of Fredericksburg, Va. Born-February 22, 1764 Died January 3, 1824." It was framed at Cole Book & Art Co., 247 Peachtree St. in Atlanta. I would like to know who has the original portrait and what relationship the owner is to the family.
